Womens History Month - Walrath Recruiting, Inc.

Women’s History Month - Walrath Recruiting, Inc. The month of March is a time of year that we at Walrath Recruiting, Inc. value greatly, not just because it means we are that much closer to the end of the winter in the Northeast, but for its remembrance of Women in History. As a NYS Women Owned Business Enterprise and an advocate for equality in the workplace we can truly express our gratitude to the countless women who have paved the way for all of us today! Having made successful waves in Politics, Science, Technology, Mathematics, Medicine, Business, and many other industries we cannot deny the impact women have had on our world, which is why it is so important to remember the work that they have done and the progress that they have made. These leaders consist of women coming from all “walks of life” and who have had all types of careers such as; athletes, writers, teachers, politicians, scientists, activists, business women, and mothers. Throughout history, they have helped to shape the world we know today by making advancements which have affected us all in one way or another; something deserving of our celebration and recognition. Make an effort this month to remember the women who paved the way for so many of us. This year the focus has been placed upon recognizing women in public service and government leadership. Through the challenges that they faced we have seen tremendous improvement in Women’s Rights and the movement toward equality. View the National Women’s History Month 2016 Honorees. Today, March 8, 2016 is “International Women’s Day”  and this year’s focus is on the need to continue and ramp up the development of gender equality globally. Follow along on Twitter with #InternationalWomensDay and add your voice to the conversation! Equality in the workplace is still not here. Yes, there have been significant improvements over the years, but there is still work to be done. Closing the gender pay gap and the promotion of equality in business and in politics still needs to be addressed across the globe. No matter your gender, we can all help to increase awareness and come together to support overcoming equality.
